Orphao, a.k.a. Lil Wayne. Mixed Media - paper, wire, plaster, gouache, marble dust. 32 x 19 x 20.  Base revolves.  Chest is shaped both to be a handsome young man and a turtle shell marked with plastron scutes. The tattoos replicate Lil Wayne's chest tatts.

 Orphao a.k.a. Lil Wayne. Inside Detail.   Orpheus fell in love with Eurydice, who died from a snake bite on their wedding day. Orpheus then travelled to the land of the dead to plead for her life. He was convinced his stealthiness, smoothness and talent could trick the gods.
 Orphao a.k.a. Lil Wayne. Side Detail.  A Rap and Roll sculpture dedicated to charming Orpheus, the Greek God of Music, whose kindred spirit I saw duplicated in the American Rap Artist Lil Wayne.
